Not all of us are athletes but I am pretty sure that all of us at sometime in our life have gone through a heavy work-out and experienced some aches and pains afterwards.

In a lot of cases this is due to not cooling down properly and with excessive exercise leading to reduced oxygen and increased acidity in the body it is perhaps easy to see why having that added advantage is desperately needed when hitting your peak at the final sprint to the finishing line.

For athletes this basically separates the winners from the losers…

With an alkaline diet plan in place this will for sure provide that extra push when the body is reaching its most critical point.

Many of us simply do not realize that having too much acid forming foods in our diet such as too much dairy, meat, fruit juice as well as a long list of usual suspects like convenience foods, sugar, fat, high salt content will force our bodies to compensate and work that little harder in order to maintain pH balance. Overtime this results in deterioration in your full potential when stretching yourself to the limit.

One way to think of it is to take a picture and to photocopy it and then take the copy and photocopy it again, repeating the process over and over again… Soon you will reach a state where the copy lacks that high definition and freshness. In the same way this analogy is perfect in describing our bodies as we get older.

With the alkaline diet you ensure that you use natures best weapons in fighting this process by means of reducing the burden on the body to compensate at your expense with regards to maintaining equilibrium.

Getting back to athletes it is therefore understandable that by adopting an alkaline diet the performance peak can be extended with use of tactics such as preventative mineralization, alkaline purification and adoption of the 80-20 principle when it comes to the alkaline diet. That is 80% alkaline foods versus 20% acid forming is the key to success.

So next time you go to the gym or for a jog, spare a thought when you reach the limit of your body and remember you’re never far from exceeding your expectations if you align your body, soul and mind with the alkaline diet.

Give it a go and on that note please let us know your thoughts, feelings and experience…
