At first glance pizza may not be the most healthiest recipe but done in the correct way and with the right toppings means you’re not going to miss out on your favorite dish with following the alkaline diet.

Alkaline Pizza Snack


You will need the following for the dough mixture:
2 tablespoons of good quality honey
3/4 cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 and 1/2 tea spoon yeast
1 tea spoon salt
2 and 1/4 cup flour – try to go for wholemeal

For the toppings use veggies of your choice for example:
Fresh Tomato’s
Bell pepper


1. Prior to adding to the flour, take the warm water and dissolve in the yeast and honey for a few minutes until it dissolves and bubbles.
2. Add olive oil and salt to the water mixture.
3. Take the water mixture and slowly add into the flour whilst turning the flour until you have a good dough which is not sticky to the hand.
4. Let the dough rise for a couple of hours noting to place it in a covered bowl.
5. Once the dough has risen, roll it out into the shape of a pizza.
6. Now add your toppings. Add tomato and your choice of veggies as well as herbs etc
7. Place in an oven and heat for about 25-30 minutes at 450°F/230°C
